The AFRA Board of Directors drives the vision and long-term strategies of the association. Representing Regular Members in good standing, these leaders dedicate their expertise and personal time to advancing AFRA's mission.

Committed to safety, quality, and sustainability, AFRA’s leadership helps shape the future of responsible aircraft disassembly and materials recovery through collaboration and innovation.

Board Structure

Elected Board Members: Up to nine (9) serving staggered three-year terms

Appointed Board Members: Up to four (4) serving one-year terms

Executive Committee: The Executive Committee provides leadership between full Board meetings, may act on behalf of the Board within defined authority, and is comprised of the four Board Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary), the Executive Director (ex-officio, non-voting), and AFRA staff in a support role.

Meetings: Bimonthly conference calls, at least two in-person meetings annually. Executive Committee meetings held in alternating months.
